Insulation Stacking
This chart shows the estimated comfort rating when stacking two layers of insulation on each other. For example, a 30F Superior Hammock with a 30F Comforter would give an estimated combined rating of -10F. Or a 40F Cocoon paired with a 30F Comforter would give a combined rating of 0F. Stacking is extremely effective for winter weather, and allows gear that is versatile year-round. We things these numbers are also conservative and would advise optimizing purchases for ideal 3-season setups than for winter weather.
